Yes, I heard about the legendary Sylvia’s “Soul Food” Restaurant in Harlem years ago. Their reputation for serving fantastic soul food plates gets my Alabama home-cooking roots charged up. However, after watching this video by Abby Narishkin and Alana Yzola from thisinsider.com, I actually pulled up Google Maps to see how long it would take to drive from Nashville, before I realized what I had done. Only 13 hours and 27 minutes. How I LOVE a good road trip!

Ribs. Chicken and waffles. Collard greens. Four-cheese mac-n-cheese. Cornbread. What?

Be prepared. Your mouth may be drooling while watching this one. Probably best to not watch it at work, especially if the boss is around. Unless you’re in NY, and you can persuade the boss to arrange a “working” lunch. Very soon.

I thought this one would be worth sharing with you. Soul food and the meat-and-three go hand in hand. Always have, in my book. You will enjoy seeing how good the food looks in this well-done video, but you will also be sure to add Sylvia’s to your list of places to eat on your next visit to the Big Apple, if you haven’t already.

Take care, and enjoy!
